Winter 2017: Into the Woods Jr.

March 17 2017

Into the Woods Jr. is a lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables. The stories of Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, and Rapunzel are woven into this Tony Award® winning musical. A baker and his wife hope to break a witch’s curse so they may have a child, and throughout their quest they meet many familiar fairy tale characters. Each character has a wish they hope to fulfill throughout the show: Cinderella wishes to go to the King's Festival; Jack wishes his cow, Milky-White, would give him milk; Rapunzel wishes her prince would come and free her from the tower; and Jack's Mother wishes to be rich with gold and for a less foolish son. Follow each character Into the Woods to discover the magical abilities of wishes, hopes, dreams, and the power of love.

“Meeting everyone and becoming a cast family for the first time has been amazing. I love how the baker was introduced to the fairy tales to create an incredible story that connects all characters around common themes of love, hope and dreams.” - The Baker

“My favurite memory was when the whole cast sang show tunes together, it was such a great bonding experience. The story of the Baker and his wife is my favourite because of how they persevere and achieve their dreams.” - Cinderella’s Prince
