Art Gala Forum Duality
Exhibition: June 26 – August 15, 2010

Art Gala Forum (AGF) is a Mississauga-based collective whose members meet to exchange knowledge of art matters and express their creativity through painting. In this exhibition, the artists converge on the topic of duality, each exploring their individuality through conscious and subconscious representations of the “self.” These residual impressions - reflections on moments in time, people, and places - have become important tools for reinforcing the artist’s identity. Exhibiting a diversity of painting methods, the AGF members draw from the history of the art form, using its wealth of visual languages to better describe the complexities of the human psyche.
