The Gallery SpaceOur gallery operates on an annual rotating exhibition schedule of approximately 7 exhibitions. The season runs from September to August with a one week closure during December and a three week closure between August and September. As a general rule, the Coordinator schedules exhibitions at least one fiscal year in advance in order to ensure that gallery content compliments other programming within the Centre. Gallery Hours: Tuesday to Friday ~ 10 am to 4 pm Saturday ~ 10 am to 1 pm Sunday & Monday ~ Closed The mandate of the gallery is to nurture, foster, encourage and support the growth of artists within the Mississauga community. In following this, there is one main criterion that must be covered in order to exhibit: 1) exhibitors must live in Peel Region. At present, the gallery does not host solo exhibitions. This means the gallery will consider hosting exhibitions by arts organizations, cultural groups, specific age groups and groups of three or more artists. Interested artist groups should submit exhibition proposals to the Coordinator by way of the information listed below. The gallery has an open application deadline and is constantly considering proposals. Exhibition proposals must include: 1. Exhibition description (max. 250 words) 2. Organization Profile - if applicable (max. 250 words) 3. List of participating artists 4. 10 slides of proposed artwork 5. Slide list Gallery Layout Our gallery provides all exhibitors the following services for a nominal fee of $500 + GST:
Gallery exhibitors are responsible for covering the costs of the opening reception. As an organization-wide policy, all catering services must go through the Centre's on-site restaurant, LIVE Cuisine.
