The exhibition gallery operates on an annual rotating schedule of approximately 7 exhibitions. The season runs from September to August with a one-week closure during December and a three-week closure between August and September. As a general rule, the Coordinator schedules exhibitions at least one fiscal year in advance in order to ensure that gallery content compliments other programming within the Centre.

Gallery Hours:
Tuesday to Saturday ~ 10 am to 4 pm
Sunday ~ 1 pm to 4 pm
Monday ~ Closed

The mandate of the gallery is to nurture, foster, encourage and support the growth of artists within the Mississauga community. In following this, artists from the Peel Region are given priority in booking the space. At present, the gallery does not host solo exhibitions. The exhibition curator will accept proposals from collectives, artist organizations, or groups of three or more individuals. Individual artists may apply to be considered for future group exhibitions organized by the curator.

Interested artist groups should submit exhibition proposals to the curator by way of the information listed below. The gallery has an open application deadline and is always considering proposals.

Exhibition proposals must include:
1. Exhibition description (max. 500 words)
2. Organization Profile - if applicable (max. 250 words)
3. List of participating artists
4. 10 digital images of proposed/former works, PC compatible
5. Detailed image list indicating artist name, title, medium, and date of completion

The Living Arts Centre provides all exhibitors the following services for a nominal fee of $500 + HST:
- Complete installation and Curatorial services
- Insurance of works on-site
- Exhibition invitation creation and distribution
- Press Release creation and distribution
- Gallery Attendees during gallery hours
- Technical support
- Exhibition removal
- Scheduling of opening reception

Gallery exhibitors are responsible for covering the costs of the opening reception. As an organization-wide policy, all catering services must go through the Centre's on-site restaurant, LIVE Cuisine.
