All performances are held in our professional theatres and feature performers from around the globe. Performances are generally between 60 and 75 minutes in length including a question and answer period. All performances have study guides with curriculum-enriching ideas for pre and post performance activities.

What will this mean for their friendship?  How do we deal with our own fears and issues when faced with a shift in what we thought we knew? Out in the Open is an honest look at homophobia, friendship, social pressure and navigating the complicated truths of teenage relationships.

Surrounded by a pre and post show interactive discussion, the students will explore themes including civil rights and perseverance.

Under the Stars features original music, beautiful lighting effects and an inventive set that will spark your student’s imaginations. This production combines actors and marionettes to create an engaging and unique theatrical experience for students and teachers alike.

Shake it Up! The Improvised Shakespeare Company Grades 7 – 12 May 15, 2013 – 10:00 AM & 12:30 PM  Hammerson Hall | Tickets: $10 per person Connect to: Drama, Language Arts, Character Education The Improvised Shakespeare Company reinvents Shakespeare for the modern audience and has developed a unique and interactive approach for deepening students’ understanding of Shakespeare’s texts. Based on audience suggestions, this theatre company creates a fully improvised play in Elizabethan style drawing on their extensive knowledge of Shakespearean themes. Each play is completely spontaneous, so each play is entirely new! This performance promises to make Shakespeare feel exciting, accessible and relevant to students.
