The Living Arts Centre requires a Coordinator of LAC Presents Performance Operations
Full-time / Permanent
The Living Arts Centre is seeking a creative, flexible, and talented individual to support the performance operations of the Centre’s professionally presented series within Hammerson Hall and RBC Theatre.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• University degree or College diploma in Arts administration, Performing/ Theatre Arts or related field or combination of education and related experience
• Two to three years production experience
• Experience working with artists, production managers, agents and the general public
• Experience creating and working within an approved program budget
• Familiar with theatre environments and experience coordinating artist and production logistics
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and database skills
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and reporting skills
• Must be highly detail orientated
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, attuned to the human relations of working in a team environment
• Must be flexible, capable of multi-tasking with creative problem solving skills
• Some experience programming performing arts productions for children, families and adults is an asset
• Fluency in oral and written French an asset
Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Arts Programs and working within the Arts Program department this position will prepare and review contracts; coordinate the logistics of approved contracts and riders; liaise with internal departments and external parties to advance performance operations including hospitality, travel, accommodation, comp tickets, FOH and merchandise; maintain program databases, tracking systems as well as prepare show settlements; monitor and operate within an approved annual budget; work with the marketing department to support the preparation of marketing materials and promote sales; represent the Centre at special events, meetings and conferences, support grant funded programs and other partnerships as required; and perform other duties as assigned.
This is a full time position requiring the successful candidate to work flexible days as well as selected evenings and weekends associated with the LAC Presents performance schedule.
