Vimy/2017 is an original work of contemporary dance that was commissioned by the Vimy Oaks Legacy and presented in France as part of the celebration surrounding the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge, one of Canada’s most defining historical moments. Using multimedia projections this piece re-enacts the battle through dance as a way of honouring and remembering the four Canadian battalions that fought alongside each other for the first time. This work expresses the emotions of the soldiers who so valiantly gave their lives to defend ideology and our freedom.

Book your tickets to see Vimy/2017 by October 18th to be entered into a draw to win a free workshop at your school.
