Jump stART!
Teacher Open House
Monday, September 20, 2010
4:00 – 6:00 pm

Jump stART your Arts curriculum and explore the facilities of the Living Arts Centre at our FREE teacher open house event. Teachers will get a chance to preview curriculum connected performances in our theatres, participate in our hands-on visual and performing arts workshops and book their school trip onsite. Book your arts education trip before spaces are sold out and enjoy an after-school event of performances, activities, refreshments and give-aways with your colleagues!

Teachers in their first 5 years of teaching will receive our Jump stART the Arts! package.

RSVP by Thursday, September 16th for this FREE evening for teachers, principals, parent advisory councils and school support staff.

Arts Education Designed for Students & Teachers

The Living Arts Centre is a dynamic venue where students and teachers can explore the wonders of the visual and performing arts. Workshops have been planned and school performances selected to help teachers meet Ontario Curriculum objectives and have been modified to meet the requirements of the new Arts curriculum for grades 1 – 8. Our programs will enhance your students’ experiences in the arts by providing an enjoyable and differentiated learning environment outside of the classroom. Selected school workshops and performances are now available in French language. For more information about our school programming in French language, click here.

If you are not able to visit the Centre with your class, try one of our Outreach programs. For teachers looking to further explore techniques for teaching the arts, one of our teacher workshop series’ may be just what you’re looking for. We look forward to welcoming you to the Living Arts Centre. Watch your students’ imagination reach new heights as they explore, create and learn in our programs.
