Public Service Announcement: COVID-19 Update

Following the Provincial Government and Public Health guidelines The City of Mississauga has made the difficult decision to cancel all previously scheduled Programs (including summer camps) for July and August.

As the Province begins to open businesses, we understand that some parents will need childcare options over the summer. On June 9, the Chief Medical officer of Health and the Provincial government announced that summer day camps across the province can re-open with strict health and safety protocols in place.

To support families in Mississauga, the City is now offering a modified version of Recreation’s Summer Fun Camp, aligning with the Ministry of Health’s guidelines. As group sizes will be much smaller and there are room capacities in place to support physical distancing, the number of spaces available this summer will be significantly reduced. Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis. Please see below for important information. You can also find more Frequently Asked Questions here.
