Csilla Perenyi, a graduate of the Hungarian University of Applied Arts in Budapest, is a professional potter, artist crafts person, as well as an expert industrial designer for porcelain. In 2003, she joined the ceramics studio as an active instructor for The Living Art Centre. In addition to her instruction at the Centre, she is currently conducting school and community workshops, as well as summer camps for all age groups. For the past 17 years she has enthusiastically led numerous classes in ceramics and mixed media at institutions and organizations throughout the GTA.
Marisa Picard is professionally trained in Mississauga and has been working with clay since 1995. As a locally recognized artist, her work has been on display across the Western GTA at various art and craft exhibits, as well as in Central Ontario specialty craft shops. An active member of the local crafts community, Marisa instructs pottery classes for children and adults.
Ishrat Raza Suhrwardy is an accomplished and award-winning artist and ceramist with over 30 years of experience. Since graduating from National College of Arts in 1979 in Lahore, Pakistan, Ishrat has worked, taught and exhibited work in nationally and internationally in venues including Canada, Pakistan, Singapore, and Thailand. Through her vast technical experience, she is well versed in the application of a variety of clays, glazing, and firing techniques including Raku and reduction firing. She has an excellent command in throwing large and small pieces including single-hand throwing and glass fusing. After moving to Canada in 2004, Ishrat has been a participant in the Resident Artist Program at Living Arts Centre, Mississauga where she produces work, manages the studio as a technician, and teaches workshops and classes.
