NOTICE: Recreation & Culture programs and services status update

On Saturday, November 20, as announced by the Government of Ontario, the Region of Peel was placed in the Grey-Lockdown Level of the Government of Ontario’s Keeping Ontario Safe and Open Framework effective Monday, November 23, 2020. The decision to place Peel Region in the Grey-Lockdown Level comes as the situation in the community has become critical; positive case counts remain high and continue to trend upwards with the test positivity rate now being the highest in the province.

As a result, with the exception of City Hall, all public City facilities will be closed (or continue to be closed as already closed under Red-Control level) including:

  • City community centres, including pools, fitness centres and arenas.
  • Cultural facilities:  Small Arms Building, Living Arts Centre & Meadowvale Theatre (both currently closed for audience performances under Red-Control level) and Museums of Mississauga

These facilities will be closed (or continue to be closed) to the public Monday, November 23 through to Sunday, December 20. In some cases access will be allowed for permitted services (such as library, childcare services and filming).
