Lindsey Claire Adelman

Fused & Sand cast glass
4.5” x 1.5”

Glass used to photographically document natural elements such as found leaves, feathers, and flowers is called fossil vitrea. This piece is representative of the marriage between glass and photographic processes. The organic object burns away through the fusing process, and its ghostly image remains imprinted on the glass. This series speaks on themes of memory & nostalgia for the natural world.

Lindsey Claire Adelman is an emerging glass and photo artist from Barrie, Ontario. Through combining passions for photography and glass working, she seeks to express the inherent ethereal quality shared by both media and explores themes of self-perception, memory and nostalgia.
