The Mid-Autumn Festival is an important Chinese traditional festival that is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month in the Chinese lunar calendar. The Kaleidoscope Mid-Autumn Moon Festival Gala is an annual one-day festive event that will take place this year in Hammerson Hall at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre on Oct. 7, 2018. It is a variety show that will present the finest Chinese traditional arts associated with the Mid-Autumn Festival as well as cross-cultural performances of various forms of traditional arts including Chinese, Indian, Myanmar, and Egyptian dance, Russian, Chinese opera, martial arts, cheongsam fashion shows, Chinese instrumental music as well as contemporary dance and Italian opera. The purpose is to present our rich traditional arts to a large audience and to promote greater awareness and understanding of our diverse cultures. It will be a wonderful feast of Canada's diverse arts and cultures to please any artistic palate and to inspire our love of Canada and our pride in being Canadian.

More than 200 KCPA members from all over the GTA will be performing at this event. Many other local artists and groups will also be participating, such as Sampradaya Dance Creations, Egyptian Dance Academy (Hannan's Belly Dance Studio), Yuan Yin Group, Yang Yang Dance Studio, BCAO( Burmese Canadian Cultural Of Ontario), Halton Region Chinese Canadian Association, Xin Tian Di Seniors Association, etc..
